vfat and linux 2.1.98 (fwd)

With Linux 2.1.98 and Vfat file systems I get massive file corruption.
My system is redhat 5.0 P II 266 BX chipset with Windows OSR2 Vfat file
systems. I have all updates to run the DEVELOPMENT kernel. This dose not
happen with 2.0.33 with Joliet patch.
