This patch replaces the Makefile variable __SMP__ with a real
configuration option CONFIG_SMP. For backwards compatibility,
<linux/config.h> still defines the symbol __SMP__.
I haven't compiled this *at all* lately so this is an experimental
release for brave (or bored) people.
