kernel 2.1.98 success, except sound

Hi,
I just got kernel v2.1.98 running on my machine - been going the last
couple of hours - it survived the kernel recompile test - A 2.1.98
compiled under 2.1.98 works as expected. Only change was Adam's kmod
patch.
Only problem that I've been having is sound/sb. I have it loaded as a
module. It will happily load and unload. However, it seems that if I
load the module, actually use it - send data to /dev/dsp, it will
eventually stop working , although it seems to work initially. If I
unload it, then load it again, I get a full hardware freeze. The second
freeze I tickled was under text mode, and no oops was printed. Hope this
helps someone.

If the sound gurus have ideas and would like to test them out, I'd be
happy to test them out, or give further datapoints.

However, 2.1.98 is working quite nicely on aic7xxx scsi machines, with PCI
and IP masquerading.

Oh, BTW, there was some talk a couple of weeks back about the new IP
option stuff causing problems with IP Masq. Something about the
masquerading server not being able to masquerade the options properly...
Has this been fixed, or are testers needed?
