[2.0.33] and no monitor

Some troubles with 2.0.33. The box has no monitor but S3 video card.
I tried to reboot it recently and everything hung up :(

BIOS beeped about monitor(video?) troubles and loader stopped at
"Loading linux_". Reset didn't help, only repower after monitor was
plugged in.

I really have no spare monitor to attach to the box :)
So, the question, how this could be solved for me to be able
to reboot the box remotely ...
