My UP machine has been SMP dead since early 2.1. I periodically fire
it up and pick at it for a while.. eventually get dizzy and give up.
Fired up 2.1.97, and it worked! Enabling fpu_memcpy kills it tho..
the last thing to printk being 'Starting kswapd v 1.5'.
Thinking 'hmm.. what is different when fpu_memcpy is in play?', I can
only come up with one thing; the exception (device_not_available) which
happens upon first use of the FPU after a context switch.
This indicates that someone is doing a copy or clear with interrupts
dissabled.. yes? Is this worth chasing or is it a case of don't use
fpu_memcpy with SMP?
