[2.0.3x] Elusive TCP Bug?

Alan Cox said "This is one of the bugs that goes back to about 2.0.30 that
I'm still hunting for"

This one occured after ncftp had been working about 6.5 hours. ncftp
promptly died after this too.

Maybe the length of time is significant?
