I have a UP RedHat 5.0 box with all of the latest updates running
2.1.97.
It seems very stable:
10:58pm up 1 day, 10:50, 3 users, load average: 0.22, 0.30, 0.27
After booting up 2.1.97 from 2.0.33, my RealAudio player fails to work.
No errors are given; just no sound it outputted. The sound setup is the
same in both kernels (this is from 2.1.97):
Sound initialization started
<Sound Blaster 16 (4.5)> at 0x220 irq 5 dma 1,5
<Sound Blaster 16> at 0x300 irq 5 dma 0
<Yamaha OPL3 FM> at 0x388
Sound initialization complete
The board is a genuine SB16 (albeit one of the originals!).

And in a totally unrelated issue, 2.1.97 locks after serial
initialization on a soft reboot. Hard reboots work fine. (Both work
correctly on 2.0.33) Anybody know what this is?
Thanks in advance,
dave
