Dummy interface as modules in 2.1.95/96

Hello,

I try to compile dummy as module:

iftcx:~# ifconfig dummy
dummy: unknown interface.
tcx:~# insmod dummy
tcx:~# ifconfig dummy
dummy: unknown interface.

When I try to use dummy compiled in the kernel, it works OK.

tcx:~# ifconfig dummy
dummy Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:00:00:00:00
unspec addr:[NONE SET] Mask:[NONE SET]
NOARP MTU:1500 Metric:1
txqueuelen:0
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0
