2.1.96 Hardlock

I had booted 2.1.96 and was in text mode when it happened. I just typed in
netstat -t (enter) and the machine locked up. No errors nothing. I did
not verify by the network, but I didn't see any harddrive activity or
anything so it looked dead to me. control-scrolllock, alt-scrolllock,
shift-scrolllock, SysRq did not work, I could not change virtual consoles.

Hardlocks don't produce much information so I'll list my system
information. Also, I don't think any 2.1.x kernels have been stable on my
system, I'm not sure about the early 2.1.x, but mid and late 2.1.x have not
been stable, while 2.0.x seems fine, 2.0.x have been shutdown/rebooted more
because of power.

AMD K5
Tyan 1653D, Tomcat III
Intel 82439HX, 82371SB chipset
128 megs memory,
NCR53C810 using BSD ported driver
gcc 2.7.2.3
