transname is halfway there...anyone working on this?

It seems to have been added to the main kernel tree by Dave Miller sometime
back in 1997 but it's not fully integrated yet (not in any Config.ins and
doesn't compile when added manually). If no one's working on this one, I
might get started after I do the dynamic pty's.
