2.1.90: checksum warnings from 3c59x

I just booted 2.1.90 compiled with egcs-1.0.2 and noticed the
following:

when 3c59x.o is loaded into the kernel it goes

Mar 18 23:44:36 brecht kernel: eth0: 3Com 3c905 Boomerang 100baseTx
at 0xb800, ***INVALID CHECKSUM 0045*** 00:08:00:10:00:20, IRQ 11

which looks scary for a non-kernel-hacker like me.
After testing reloading the module some times i notice that
the invalid checksum alters between 0001, 0045 and 0040.

I have no idea what this means, but the card seems to work ok.
The funny thing is that the file drivers/net/3c59x.c hasn't changed
since 2.1.89 (which doesnt find the checksum invalid) so it must be
something else that has magically happened behind the driver's back.

cheers!
/daniel
