LANCE problem in 2.1.90

After installing 2.1.90 (replacing 2.1.80), the lance ethernet card driver
fails to probe the DMA channel of the card.

>From 2.1.80:
eth0: PCnet/ISA 79C960 at 0x300, 00 00 f4 a0 1b e9, probed IRQ 3, DMA 6.

With 2.1.90:
DMA detection failed

I looked at the patches between 80 and 90, and nothing looks significant:
- parentheses added around an expression in 81.
I reversed this patch and it did not solve the problem.
- removed second parameter to dev_kfree_skb() in 86

Is anyone successfully using a similar card in 2.1.90 (or anything newer
than 2.1.80)? If not, is there anyone who could give some insight as to
the nature of the problem?
