I know this is of little use but I figured I may as well report it. =
2.1.89 just locked up solid on me after about 1.5 days of running. The =
below "vmstat 60" (that I always keep running) shows about 4 minutes of =
CPU usage followed by a lot of swapping occurring after which the system =
apparently froze. When I came in this morning the screen was blank and =
it wouldn't respond to anything. It looks like it may have run out of =
memory (I've got 64Meg of swap so I don't think it chewed all that up in =
less than 60 seconds). It may have been being backed up via NFS at the =
time it froze. I don't have enough info to tell when this occurred =
exactly. If it was from the backup then it was getting a "find" from =
the system doing the backup on the NFS mount. I don't know what caused =
the 4 minutes of user CPU time though (the find doesn't eat up 100% so =
that wasn't it). The "2573" context switches is kinda' interesting =
though (followed by 448 context switches).
