I'd second that. However, it's still drastically worse than 2.1.88 was.
This is a 64Mb dual Pentium machine, and when it starts paging, it still
just locks up for five or ten seconds at a time, and the load hits about eight.
Killing klogd so that the streams of "kswapd: failed, got 124 of 128" messages
don't get spooled to the disk helps a bit, but it's still not nice.
