It's video refresh probably. Try cating a big file. It happens
to me too (Gateway box running NT5) whenever I do lots of vido refreshing
(not that much really) like holding down PgDn in a netscape window. This
is hardware most liekly not linux. Try moving your monitor further away
from your pc and perhaps changing the slot your video card is in.
