DMA memory (2.0.30)

Hi,

once, when I ran unpatched 2.0.30 I was preparing boot/root disks; I was
using a loop device. When I wrote onto the floppy, the kernel complained
it wasn't able to allocate enough DMA memory. The kernel just wouldn't
let me write to /dev/fd0. I rebooted and things worked fine; I wasn't able
to replicate the problem.

Has anybody had to deal with similar problems?

Regards,
David
