Yesterday I've got a problem with a i486SX with 3 D-Link DE220PCT (NE2000
clone) Ethernet boards and a small IDE disk under plain 2.0.33. The machine
serves as the router for our LAN (not connected to the world yet). It runs
named and samba (for WINS).
The system ran out of memory so I couldn't login (remotely) anymore, but it
kept on routing IP packets between the 3 subnets. After a reboot (CTRL-ALT-DEL
to halt still worked) I found this in the logfiles:
