I can confirm that I see this with mcdx (on an LU-005). My guess is that
neither driver waits long enough for the drive/interface to catch up...

BTW: Is it possible for me to use the Mitsumi CD interface on my old sound
card instead of having to use my last precious ISA slot for the interface
card? The sbpcd docs suggest not, but the Aztech cards seem quite happy
to take a Mitsumi drive.

And how do I go about helping Linux to find the ide interface on my SB32?
