I tried using the emulated floating-point, but still got the same GPF
every time I logged out from my "ssh localhost" session. I tried "telnet
localhost" and got:

Jan 27 09:05:22 topside modprobe: Can't locate module ^H^Q^F@p4
Jan 27 09:05:22 topside modprobe: Can't locate module ^A

before entering anything at the login prompt. Then I tried "strobe
localhost" and got:

Jan 27 09:06:18 topside modprobe: Can't locate module ^Hm^D^H
Jan 27 09:06:18 topside modprobe: Can't locate module ^Hm^D^H^^^TN4

which is the same whenever imapd runs. If I do "telnet localhost ftp"
there are no such messages. If I do "telnet localhost ssh" then escape
from it, there is no GPF.
