Even though I used to read the kernel list with a newsreader, I would
strongly oppose this. While I found it extremely convenient to read,
the signal to noise ration dropped to unbelievably low levels. Shortly
after the mail->news gateways were discontinued, the ratio improved
dramatically. For awhile, real developer's were abandoning the list,
now they use it again. That is far more useful than being able to read
the list through news.
