I get boot messages similar to Re: posting, in particular is "IO-APIC pin
0 not connected" and according to /pci/interrupts and the kernel boot
messages, only processor zero is able to handle interrupts. This is an
dual P6 with a SuperMicro P6DOF mobo which so far has been a paragon of
reliability. Is this message stating that the IO-APIC is not implemented
on this board? (I didn't find the M, so I didn't RTFM for this function).

I migrated from 2.1.77 to 2.1.80 directly and then to 2.1.81pre1; 2.1.80
booted but locked up when doing a gzip on a large file. I didn't stress
test 2.1.81pre1.

A side note, in 2.1.81pre1, psaux module can't be loaded because
synchronize_bh external symbol is not found (it was OK in 2.1.80).
