Hello,

when I try to use my SoundBlaster with 2.1.81 like so:

cat sound/Diam.au > /dev/audio

I get an syslog entry

sound: Got invalid address 0xc2e60000 for 65536b DMA-buffer

and the shell tells me:

bash: /dev/audio: Bad address

The sound driver is compiled as module(s):
sb 25584 0 (autoclean) (unused)
uart401 5896 0 (autoclean) [sb]
sound 86180 0 (autoclean) [sb uart401]

The kernel config (for sound) is:

#undef CONFIG_SOUND
#define CONFIG_SOUND_MODULE 1
#undef CONFIG_PAS
#undef CONFIG_SB
#define CONFIG_SB_MODULE 1
#undef CONFIG_ADLIB
#define CONFIG_ADLIB_MODULE 1
#undef CONFIG_GUS
#undef CONFIG_MPU401
#undef CONFIG_PSS
#undef CONFIG_MSS
#undef CONFIG_SSCAPE
#undef CONFIG_TRIX
#undef CONFIG_MAD16
#undef CONFIG_CS4232
#undef CONFIG_MAUI
#undef CONFIG_OPL3SA1
#undef CONFIG_SOFTOSS
#define CONFIG_SOFTOSS_MODULE 1
#undef CONFIG_YM3812
#define CONFIG_YM3812_MODULE 1
#undef CONFIG_VMIDI
#undef CONFIG_LOWLEVEL_SOUND

Regards
Steffen
