AGP Graphics under Linux

Does anyone have any info on the status of AGP development for Linux? I am
not interested in taking advantage of the AGP benefits under Linux, but we
are looking at a system that has AGP graphics that we will be dual booting
from NT to Red Hat. I only need basic support for video while in Linux. If
AGP support is non-existant, will a second PCI video board solve the problem
(as in pose no other conflicts under NT or Linux)? Also, will a kernel
optimized for the P-II be any faster than a kernel optimized for the PPRO?
If so, when is P-II optimization support going to be available?

Thanks in advance,
Chuck
