Hmm, what about simple ppp line, with a bit of userspace magic that
would corrupt and/or delay it? Unless you want too accurate timers,
this is easily doable.

And if yo want nice test-case: I have one NE1000 here, which stops
receiving packets after it gets six packets in a row. I will exchange
it for anything more usefull of similar size (must fit into briefcase
;-).
