I don't believe it is a candidate. It only partially fixes the gcc 2.8.0
problems, and nobody has spent the 3 or 4 weeks+ running lots of 2.8.0
compiled kernels neccessary to find out.

Only if we have fair reason to believe the resulting compile is stable.
