Cyrix 200MX and 2.0.31 (with cyrix_patch)

I have just upgraded to a Cyrix MX (P166+, stepping 1.4) and
even after applying the cyrix patch i downloaded from www.erols.com
it is still throwing fpu exceptions. Is there a fix out there
to stop this happening, or do I just have a duff cpu?
