Normally, it just dumps core, and you're done
However, it seems that with 2.1.65, it sends a floot of weird chars to the
tty, and floods the syslog with messsages like
Nov 21 16:01:41 failing kernel: mc: Exception at [<c017e8a3>] cr2=80fa119
(fixup: c018b065)
Nov 21 16:01:41 failing kernel: mc: Exception at [<c017e8a3>] cr2=80fa11a
(fixup: c018b065)
Hundreds or thousands of these lines, repeated over and over again, with cr2
increased by one on every line
I know mc has a bug here, but shouldn't the kernel terminate the process
instead of looping and flooding syslog ?
(the system slowed down, the harddisk went crazy while this happened, though
killing mc got rid of the problem)
