Your 3 and 4 is nearly 100% 2.3 stuff, sorry. ACLs in ext2 would be nice,
but I think the patch is still too alpha to use in 2.2
Also all the nice features in DaveM's CVS tree should be merged first
(modular sound driver, alan's video driver framework, Alexey's queueing
framework and the RSVP hooks, the new multicasting router, the new routing
code etc.) - and the bugs in it should be fixed.
