2.1.59 iput error message

I got the following message when in debian, I ran dpkg-source on a cd
instructing it to unpack the source to a vfat partition(03:01 device
number, /dev/hda1).
"iput: device 03:01 inode ________ count wrapped"
This message appeared about 100 times with different inode numbers.
I can reproduce these messages. I have 1 eide driver with 4 partitions
and an iede cdrom on a separate eide controller.
