noatime doesnt work

This is what i got :

blondie:~# mount /localdisk/ -o remount,noatime
EXT2-fs: Unrecognized mount option noatime

it doesnt matter if I remount it or normal mount it

I have linux 2.0.30 , ext2fs as module
