I'm suspecting that the swapper changes that went into 2.0.30 that was
backported from the 2.1 might be a good place to start. If I remember right,
it was to "prune" kswapd and friends a bit.. it might be possible that the
usage accounting got schwacked at the same time.
I'm not really seeing any leaks that I can tell (2.0.31-p10 / 2.1.56-CVS), but
then my systems are not stressed that much.
People are complaining of lag on my Quake server on 2.0.31-p10.. so there might
be some strange UDP thing going on.. tho I can't imagine much changed since
2.0.30.
