Running stock 2.1.51
one HD on primary IDE chain, one on secondary.

After upgrading to 2.1.51 (from 2.1.26), I compiled a patched version, and
tried running
lilo (v19 or 20)

Device 0x0300: Invalid partition table, 1st entry
3D address: 1/1/0 (53)
Linear address: 40/0/0 (39)

Is what I get. It does not change, as far as I can tell.
It will not change.

hda is a 100mg none LBA, and hdc is a 1.9 gig LBA.
It looks like hda is tried to be LBAd.

fdisk /dev/hda -> p shows:

Disk /dev/hda: 5 heads, 53 sectors, 901 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 265 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Begin Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 1 774 102472+ 83 Linux native
Partition 1 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(0, 1, 1) logical=(0, 0, 40)
Partition 1 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(656, 7, 39) logical=(773, 2, 33)
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary:
phys=(656, 7, 39) should be (656, 4, 53)
/dev/hda2 658 774 901 16848 82 Linux swap
Partition 2 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(657, 0, 1) logical=(773, 2, 34)
Partition 2 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(764, 7, 39) logical=(900, 3, 21)
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary:
phys=(764, 7, 39) should be (764, 4, 53)

/dev/hdc is ok on fdisk. hda1 is my root, and hda2 is my swap. fsck on
/dev/hda1 shows clean.
