Funny.. not that long ago you were saying you'd modularise OSS/Free
if it wasn't for the time issues - so whats the problem ? If its licensing
to release OSS/Free on other platforms (FreeBSD ?) please drop me a mail

I think the current setup slows development of alternative drivers down. I've
already got people fiddling with the drivers now they are more modular.

The API is the important bit.

Im planning to clean it up a lot further and make it look more like the
standard Linux device setup in 2.1.x (assuming PP hasn't done it by
the time I sort out 2.0.x). After that - volunteers ?
