Problems in network code..

Hi-
I believe the network code has resulted in a completely rewritten
new code since kernel 2.0.28(I think..) and this has a new feature of
keepalive
connections. This has been breaking one of my mirror scripts, and I would
like to know if there are any patches posted for this, or is this going
to be as is now?? The mirror script is the standard mirror utility available
and if there are a lot of files to be mirrored across, it breaks saying
"bind ... address already in use". Netstat shows a ftp connection in
close_wait state. Is there any way to workaround this or has this already
been done. I have tested it on 2.0.28 and 2.0.30, and it breaks on both.
Can someone help me please or direct me to someplace where this
can worked out??
