I know that FreeBSD allows different VC's to be in different video
modes (i.e VC 1 would be in 80x25 and VC 2 would be in 80x50). The current
console code in linux does not do this. It looks like it might of had this
ability at one point, but it was taken out because it was messy. Is there
any plans to add it back in? It would be a nice feature to have available.
