Unlocking devices.

Hello,

I've got a probleme with the filesystem 'supermount' that allow
to use devices such as diskette, cdrom,... as under MSDOS. you
can remove them at any time, everything is automatic.

The problem comes with my cdrom (IDE) and my ZIP drive (SCSI).
as they are mounted, they are also locked and cannot be changed
until unmount. I looked in the kernel, but there is no generic
device unlocking ioctl command that could be issued by the filesystem.
(I found where to put it in supermount)
SCSI devices have one, which may be useable, but IDE doesn't.

Would it be possible to have a global, generic command that unlock
the drive even if it is mounted, for ALL Linux block devices ?

Thank you for listening.
