I see resets also when not using the tape. In fact I have done a
backup once or twice with the pre-2.0.31-2 without any problems. But
I have always the st.o module loaded. I will try if unloading will
make a difference. The problem is that also with st.o loaded, the bug
will possibly occur only after a long uptime if at all.

Hm. Looking at the list of changed files, there were mostly changes
to hardware specific files, but not the aha2940. There are some
general changes, too, but it seems no SCSI tape drive related.

Momentarily, I'm back to 2.0.30, too. I had switched to pre-2.0.31-2
because of the hisax driver and to 2.1.47 because of IPv6.
