compilation error in 2.1.42

Trying to compile the kernel once more I got the following errors :

make[2]: *** [sound_switch.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory /usr/src/linux/drivers/sound'
make[1]: *** [sub_dirs] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory /usr/src/linux/drivers'
make: *** [linuxsubdirs] Error 2

I compiled it a lot of times before without any problem.
