Thanks, Mike! That was the problem. Here is the output from ksymoops.
BTW, the original OOPS I was trying to report happened when I did a
"fuser /var", as root. My /var fs was the 4th partition on my single EIDE
drive. After that, many commen problems segfaulted until I rebooted.
I'm using pre-2.1.44-2 with all current requirement in
Documentation/Changes. I'm also using libc-5.4.33 and ld.so.1.8.10.
