Hi all,
I'm a bit busy in this period so I don't read much the kernel
list messages, maybe you have discussed in some tread about this...
however...

I had problems with the firewall in my cisco. Making ftp to outside
my site and logging in as anonymous I was unable to use the dir command,
I got errors such "Unable to establish data connection: no route to host"
or "connection time out on data connection" ecc.

The problem was due the fact in the firewall set up by our provider
the ports beetween 6000 and 9999 were closed and linux was using
the ports in this range as local ports.

Yesterday I upgraded from 2.0.29 to 2.0.30 so I looked the diffs in
the patch and I noticed the change.

Why the AND mask to 1023 was deleted ? Is only this change that causes the
problems ? Is it legal ? Have I to tell the provider to change the
firewall conf ? :-)

Thank you.
