Hi !

Who told you that? I have two of them one on each of my computers. Red Hat
ships supplied with it. Look in /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/3c59x.c. It
should say this at the top:

This driver is for the 3Com "Vortex" and "Boomerang" series ethercards.
Members of the series include Fast EtherLink 3c590/3c592/3c595/3c597
and the EtherLink XL 3c900 and 3c905 cards.

Hmm, I tried exactly that, but with two 3c905 Linux initialized the card but both didn't
output any packts. I swapped them for two 3c590 and everything worked fine.
I use Linux 2.0.29 with the ISS-2 patches if that matters.

Just my two pennies worth ...
