} I hope this is the right list to post to (I didn't find a ip-masq mailing
} list in the kernel doku)

Look at the ip masq page
http://www.indyramp.com/masq/
}
} I upgraded my old 2.0.24 Kernel to 2.1.42 and I've got an annoying
} problem with ipmasquerading.

Masq development has all been done in the 2.0.x stream. The 2.1.42 masq
will be rather buggy - around the state of 2.0.1

} when i do ftp (ip_masq_ftp module is in the kernel) with files <8 MB i have
} no problem but
} when i try to download (i have an ISDN connection) something bigger like a
} service pack . The ftp works until the last byte but it doesn't end!

This is a problem with the FTP control channel timeing out.
Either upgrade (?) to 2.0.30/2.0.31 or set the TCP timeout up to something
high like the maximum FTP transfer time. [The FTP control channel is idle
during the data transfer so it times out].
