Hi-
I am using Linux 2.0.28 with shadow passwd.Whenevever my machine
drops to single user mode.I am not able to log on.After I enter the
correct username passwd pair, this is root/passwd, there is a message
saying /dev/console, "cannot change for user root, bad file number".
I tried remaking also, but to noavail(i.e. remaking the console device).
Is this a problem and could anybody help??
I was using Linux 2.0.8 before and did not have this problem.
