Bug in VGA mode selection code

Hi
I'm running kernel 2.1.35 on a Pentium 133 with a Trident 9440AGx video
adapter. I compiled it with VGA mode selection in and apm, but it seems
that there's a conflict between the two. If I select the vga mode on the
kernel or in lilo.conf, then there's no problem, but if I set vga=ask
then upon bootup, after selecting the video mode, the system stops for
about 5 seconds on initialization of the APM code, then on completion I
lose the keyboard. You cannot even switch virtual consoles, or do
ctrl-alt-del. Solution: reset button.

Thanx
