2.1.30 boot- module error messages

When I boot the kernel I get error messages regarding modules. It says
"updating module dependencies.." It says" unresolved symbols in
module lib/modules/2.1.30/fs/nfs.0" This also applies to net.pp.o and
net/slip.o. The unresolved symbols are __global_cli, __global_save_flags,
__global_restore flags, waitqueque, and __global_sti. I did a 'make
modules' and a 'make modules_install' I compiled the kernel with
the moduleversions option. What am I doing wrong?
I did not find these messages in the syslog. It would be
helpfull, if they were also written to a file.
