- lp status readback might work now
- changes to the configuration options
- much, much more (ahem)
Since I haven't heard any complaints recently, I'm announcing this version
to a somewhat wider audience, specifically the linux-kernel list. For
people on that list who don't have a clue what this is about, the parport
patch provides basic parallel-port support, including port sharing, port
capability detection and limited IEEE-1284 plug-and-play support. The
patch includes new versions of the lp, plip and ppa drivers.
Get the patch at
http://www.tazenda.demon.co.uk/parport-diff-970329.gz
I'll have it put on the normal parport distribution site when Tim gets
back from Germany tomorrow.
Pleae check it out, and let me know what happens.
SPARC/m68k/other-weird-architecture people may need to modify the
appropriate config.in file before this will work. I didn't dare do it
myself. ;-)
