I have a problem to get Adaptec 2940 SCSI adapter and 3Com595
network adapter to work simultaneously. Always when I compile
support for both of these adapters the kernel detects them.
When the system tries to get the network up, it just prints
eth0: vortex_open() InternalConfig 0001001b.
SIOCSIFFLAGS: Try again
If I disable the SCSI support, when compiling the kernel,
everything works just fine?!? Pretty weird I think.
I have tried 2.0.27 and 2.0.29 kernels without success.
In Windows 95 environment both adapters work just fine
simultaneously. There's no hardware conflicts and so on.
Here is my /proc/pci
#cat /proc/pci
