Hi,

I use RedHat 4.1. I also had the same problem.
The reason was that I forgot to compile and install

bin86-0.4.tar.gz (Get it on sunsite etc. )

That's all

BTW. I had e few bad experiences with the packages in the contrib section
from ftp.redhat.com.
Some packages are really really bad.
So I advise you to compile or download the original packages yourself.
If RedHat bings out an upgrade, than it could work... Even those packages
are not always OK. :-((

Oh. A last note: if I reboot or halt, I get the message

cannot unmount /dev/hda5

this is my /usr partition, so something is not really running fine on the
2.1.26 kernel, because it doesn't say that on the 2.0.29 kernel.
