Not that I think that standards do not have their place, but nearly
all ingenuity and briliant ideas come from those willing to break all
the rules and notions previously assosciated with a concept. If your
idea truly is worthwhile and useful, you will become the standard.

The mindless following of standards is for people who still think the
world is flat and are willing to accept that fact forever, they can
dance and play football all they want as far as I'm concerned.
