SCSI Prioritising

Hi,

Is there any way that devices on a SCSI chain can be prioritised?

For example:
We have a server with an AHA-2940 card, and two 2Gb SCSI disks. We are
likely to acquire, in the near future, and old box with a couple of 500Mb
SCSI disks, and we were going to pinch one for our FTP archive.

I know that running too many disks from the one SCSI controller can bog
things down but, since it's mostly for anonymous ftp where network speed
causes all the problems, is it possible to give it a lower priority so
that it doesn't affect our "real" users? A "scsi_nice" utility or system
call would be handy in this sort of sitation, I think.

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick entirely?

Cheers,
Matthew.
